Brisbane to Sunshine Coast

Just over an hour’s drive north of Brisbane and you’ll arrive at the aptly named Sunshine Coast. Nearby Beerwah is the world famous Australia Zoo where you can meet Australian native wildlife. Caloundra to Noosa
Driving Time: 1hr Distance: 50km
It’s only an hour’s drive to Noosa, so why not stay and enjoy Caloundra for a while? There’s estuary creeks and surf beaches – not to mention a 25-kilometre continuous pathway connecting Caloundra’s Golden Beach to Kawana, passing by cliffs, historic sites, nature reserves, plus shopping and dining options. For something unique, you can Kayak from Caloundra to Bribie Island on the calm waters of Pumicestone Passage. Then it’s time to head to Noosa: one of Australia’s most beautiful seaside holiday destinations.

Noosa to Glass House Mountains
Driving Time: 2hrs Distance: 80km
Your drive from Noosa to the Glass House Mountains offers some great stops. Why not trek to the top of Mt Coolum, an ancient volcanic dome created about 26 million years ago? There’s also the picturesque township of Buderim, sitting atop a mountain and with its very own tourist attraction: The Ginger Factory. Or Eumundi, with its famous market on Wednesday and Saturday.
Glass House Mountains to Brisbane
Driving Time: 3hrs Distance: 120km
Take time to explore the amazing Glasshouse Mountains: rugged volcanic peaks that tower above the surrounding landscape. The easy Glass House Mountains Lookout Track offers sweeping views to Caloundra, Maroochydore, Brisbane and Moreton Island. You could also visit some charming local towns like Mapleton, Montville and Maleny, with their walks, fresh local produce, and distinctive arts and crafts.
